How We Work

We strive to make the complex world of financial services clear, simple and specifically tailored for you. We use a four-step process to develop your financial plans, which can be adapted to suit your personal needs:

Our initial consultation is dedicated to finding out about you and your circumstances, reviewing your existing financial situation and understanding your needs. Whatever your objective; saving towards a specific goal or purchase, investing wisely to ensure you or your family’s future or to make your business more profitable, the better we know you and the more information we have allows us to make our advice more relevant and specific to your personal situation.

The initial consultation is a face-to-face meeting typically held in either our City of London Head Office, Canary Wharf Office or one of our regional offices and is equally importantly a chance for you to get to know us, make sure you understand our process, discuss the types of advice we give, how we are paid, our ongoing service proposition and how we are regulated along with any other questions you have at this stage. Rest assured, the consultation is completely non-committal and confidential with your data being entirely protected.

The Bespoke Plan

Following our initial meeting, we carry out a comprehensive analysis of your current position and needs.

Based upon this, we provide you with a bespoke financial planning recommendation as to how to build upon your current planning and maximize your ability to achieve your future objectives. This allows you to fully consider your options, with no obligation to proceed.


After we have made our proposal for your bespoke financial solution, you are happy with our recommendation and have decided that you would like to continue working with us, our job is to agree the level of service you require, the associated costs and then implement it in the most time efficient and cost effective way.


We firmly believe that building long-term relationships with our clients is the foundation of good financial planning and this is underpinned by our ongoing service proposition.

Depending on the level of service you prefer, we will undertake a bi-annual or annual review of your financial plan, making sure it’s still appropriate for you. We also give ongoing advice on new products, and keep you up-to-date with important changes in legislation that may affect your current position or future planning.

Rules And Regulations

We aim to provide an industry-leading, comprehensive service to our clients. In doing so, we adhere to the Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA) principles of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’, which means you can be confident we put your well-being at the very core of our business ethos.

Our processes and procedures follow the guidelines laid down by our support network – Intrinsic Financial Planning Limited, which is authorized and regulated by the FCA. We also abide by a number of laws, regulations and legislation, including The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) for financial security, The Data Protection Act (DPA) for confidentiality and our agreements are in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
